Adidas emails Boston Marathon finishers with “Congratulations, you survived…” in the subject line

 

The Boston Marathon is a huge event that gets tons of publicity. I am sure that there was not harm meant, but with Adidas being such a huge company you think someone would have caught this before the email was sent.

With that in mind do you think it may have been an easy way to get publicity? Could they purposely have put that subject line knowing that an outcry like this would happen?

What are your thoughts on this topic? Should Adidas do more than apologize, or are people overreacting?
